Some funding has come in at short notice from a registered charity called Stresscare. This enables me to offer a short online journey for people suffering from the stress of long covid.
This is free of charge for participants and will involve four zoom sessions of 90 minutes each between 7th and 18th July. These will be from 11.00am to 12.30pm on Thursday 7th, Monday 11th, Thursday 14th and Monday 18th July 2022. There’ll be short breaks and spaces for reflection during these sessions.
It is based on the Stresscare Colour Wheel and teachings for self care from the Medicine Wheel. This is about managing and reducing stress and anxiety and deepening self-knowledge and self-love. You will learn simple but powerful tools for self-care and healing for your mind, body, emotion and spirit. You will also gain a deeper understanding of the balance between the parasympathetic (rest and recover) and sympathetic (fight or flight) parts of the nervous system.
This is NOT a primary treatment for long covid. It is a journey of learning and support for yourself. It offers teachings and methods successfully used by Stresscare in courses to support people suffering trauma from other causes.
Participants are asked to attend all four sessions, and I will recommend you to practice the methods between sessions. You will need a computer or smart phone with zoom installed and connection to the internet.
The group will be a minimum of eight and maximum of twelve participants.
